Dr. Laxman Mohanty

FOUNDER FBS
(1962-2008)

Dr. Laxman Mohanty born on 5th May 1962 in Bhairabpur, Bhadrak District, Orissa rose to become one of the greatest sons of Orissa. He was a visionary with missionary zeal. His indomitable character and inimitable style made him a class by himself. His infectious smile, exuberant nature and amazing simplicity made him a darling of his associates. After his schooling at Ram Krishna mission, Purlia and Birla Public School, he pursued engineering in Electrical & Electronics from BITS, Pilani. Thereafter, he completed Ph.D from the same institute.

He was a technocrat, entrepreneur, artist, writer and philanthropist all rolled into one. FBS is the brainchild of Dr. Laxman Mohanty. He was very passionate about making Bhubaneswar a hub of quality education. From this earnest desire of his, sprang the idea of establishing Future Focus Foundation Trust. Under the aegis of FFFT, the Future Bhubaneswar School took shape and now is making enviable strides in the Temple city.

He taught us that colossal victory can come only if we are prepared to take monumental challenges head on. This sure-fire recipe of his for success will remain a beacon for us for long. We bow to the sacred memory of Late Dr. Laxman Mohanty. May his spirit continue to guide and inspire us forever. The school will hold aloft the ideals he cherished and the causes he championed. Though his premature departure for the heavenly abode on 12th August 2008, casts its shadow on us, we strongly believe his spirit will buoy us up at all grim times.
